Pojezierze Brodnickie

Bobrowo Commune

13 lakes, bathing beaches with piers and viewing towers, a 13th-century Gothic church and the Foluszek Hillfort with living history lessons. A commune for waterside relaxation and family excursions.

About the municipality

The Bobrowo municipality lies in the western part of Brodnica County. It contains 13 lakes, the largest of which is Lake Wądzyńskie (170,40 ha). Recreational complexes operate by the water in Bobrowo, Chojno and Wądzyn — with beaches, piers, beach volleyball courts, bonfire spots and playgrounds. The landscape is best admired from two observation towers: above Lake Chojno and above Lake Wądzyńskie.

The southern part of the municipality belongs to the Protected Landscape Area of the Drwęca Valley and the Natura 2000 network. The Way of St. James runs through the municipality, and along the way it is worth stopping at natural and technical monuments: the over 200-year-old "Napoleonic" pear, one of the oldest in Poland, and the water weir in Lisa Młyn.

For a longer stay, the Półwysep Wądzyn Resort with an indoor pool and tennis courts invites visitors.
