About the county

Brodnica County is a place where nature, active recreation and a wealth of local attractions create excellent conditions for spending a holiday, a weekend or a family trip.

Called the land of 101 lakes, it lies in the north-eastern part of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The proximity to the Warmian-Masurian and Masovian voivodeships makes it a convenient destination both for longer stays and short trips out of the city.

The region's landscape was shaped by glaciation. Lakes, forests, rivers, hills and picturesque valleys create a space conducive to getting close to nature. The Drwęca flows through the county — one of the region's most important rivers and a special place for nature lovers and water tourism.
