About the commune
Osiek lies in the southern part of Brodnica County, in the Brodnica Lakeland. It is a good direction for those who want to slow down the pace and discover a less obvious face of Dobrzyń Land. Post-glacial hills, fields, small forests, wetlands and river valleys create a landscape for unhurried walking and cycling trips — without crowds.
A fragment of the “Rzeka Drwęca” reserve and the protected landscape area of the Drwęca valley lie within the commune. The largest lake is Warpalskie Lake in Warpalice, and a four-stemmed oak — the commune's only natural monument — grows in the village park in Osiek.
