Old laundry – washing on historic tubs and a collection of antique equipment

Last updated: 12.10.2026

In the lofty building of the old laundry you can view and see in use century-old tools formerly used to maintain the cleanliness of homes and household members. The collections of the Soapmakers' Village include, among others, mangles, glass and stone tubs, irons heated by fire and coal and many other historic devices.

During the workshops participants carry out washing, mangling and ironing on historical equipment, learning about old household techniques. Sessions can be combined with soap-making workshops.

All rooms, the grounds and the workshops are accessible to people with disabilities.
